Car crashes into pub

A MAN from Chipping Warden suffered serious injuries when his car crashed into the wall of a pub in Byfield.
The accident happened yesterday at 11.05pm when a Honda Accord car travelling on the Banbury Road towards Daventry left the road and collided with roadsigns before hitting the external wall of the Cross Tree Inn pub.

The 28-year-old man was taken to the Horton Hospital in Banbury and the road was closed for five hours.
Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call police in Banbury on 08453 700700 or the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615.
